SOLVENT THINNER, PATINA GEL
Solvent Thinner
STH08ZSTH
Sculpt Nouveau Solvent Thinner has no VOC’s and 8 oz. Solvent Thinner
is a very effective replacement for Xylene. It may be STH32ZSTH
used to thin all solvent products. For best results 32 oz. Solvent Thinner
when spraying a solvent lacquer, thin with up to STH01GSTH
20% Sculpt Nouveau Solvent Thinner. Wear gloves, 1 gallon Solvent Thinner
goggles and protective clothing. Do not ingest.
Patina Gel
PTN08ZGEL
Patina Gel turns liquid patinas into a gel patina. The 8 oz. Patina Gel
gel allows for easier application to vertical surfaces. PTN32ZGEL
To mix, add the gel by weight or volume up to a 32 oz. Patina Gel
1:1 ratio into any liquid patina. The mixed gel PTN01GGEL
patina will typically be lighter in color compared 1 gallon Patina Gel
to the original patina.
PRIME-IT
Prime-It is a tough and durable water-based primer. Sculpt Nouveau’s Red
Oxide Primer may be applied to all metal surfaces and also to resin castings
and For Metal Coatings shiny plastics. Prime-It is a great product to use over
polyurethane products before using the Metal Coatings. It is very tough and
durable, is water based and has no volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
Instructions for Application:
(1) Clean metal first with a good quality metal cleaner/degreaser, then sand
if possible.
(2) Clean metal again, then rinse again. (No special prep is needed for PRT08ZRED
8 oz. Red Prime-It
other substrates, other than cleaning, although some sanding is PRT32ZRED
recommended.) 32 oz. Red Prime-It
(3) Apply Sculpt Nouveau's Prime-It by brush, roller, sponge or spray. Apply
PAINT & PATINAS two layers of primer. Wait 2 -6 hours between coats. Wait a minimum of
8 hours (24 hours for best results) before applying the Metal Coating.
Waiting longer than 8 hours will not affect the process.
(4) Clean up with soap and water.
