ABS Times - 2025/2026 15 On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from, the principals and teachers of the American Baccalaureate School welcomed parents to this year%u2019s Super Wednesday: Curriculum Night. The afternoon offered families a closer look at classroom expectations, grading policies, and strategies designed to help students achieve their best.Parents enjoyed the chance to meet teachers, ask questions, and sample light refreshments while exploring a variety of student-led displays. Several students volunteered their time to help organize the event and present innovative projects from their technology and science classes.The atmosphere was energetic and collaborative, with teachers, students, and families exchanging ideas and celebrating learning together. Events like these highlight ABS%u2019s strong sense of community and shared commitment to student success.This fall, high school students at the American Baccalaureate School took the PSAT, a practice test designed to familiarize them with the format and timing of the SAT college entrance exam. The PSAT assesses skills in Reading, Writing and Language, and Math, focusing on reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking rather than rote memorization. This helps students gain valuable insight into their academic progress and test-taking abilities.While the PSAT does not affect college admissions, it serves as an important milestone for students preparing for future standardized tests. The results enable teachers and counselors to identify students%u2019 strengths and areas needing improvement, allowing for targeted support and increased confidence as they approach the SAT.
