PaceRank is built to do one thing well: help you calculate pace and benchmark your races. It does that entirely on your device — and it does not collect, store, or share your personal data.
The short version: we don't have a server, an account system, or analytics that identify you. The numbers you enter, the custom distances you save, and your Pro status all live on your phone.
Information we collect
None that personally identifies you. PaceRank does not require an account, a sign-in, or any contact details to work. The data you enter — distances, times, paces, and custom events — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us.
How your data is stored
Your settings, saved distances, and calculation inputs are kept in the app's local storage on your device. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it. We have no copy of it.
Purchases
PaceRank Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Your Pro entitlement is managed by Apple and restored through Apple's "Restore Purchases" mechanism — handled by your Apple ID, not by us.
Analytics & tracking
PaceRank does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across other apps or websites. Any anonymous, aggregate crash or performance reporting provided by Apple's standard developer tools cannot be used to identify you and is used solely to keep the app stable.
Third-party services
The only third party involved is Apple, which operates the App Store and processes purchases under Apple's own privacy policy. PaceRank does not integrate with any other external service.
Children's privacy
PaceRank is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Race data
The race results PaceRank ranks you against are drawn from publicly available finishing results and are bundled with the app. They contain no information about you.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
