• 👥 Person Groups (October 2026) - Organize people into colored groups (a team, a family branch, coworkers) on the People view. Create, rename, recolor, and delete groups without deleting the people. Add or remove members, and assign unknown faces straight to a group as separate people.
• 🔎 Search by group (October 2026) - Include or exclude one or more groups. A photo matches when it contains any member of an included group. Those filters are remembered with the Search workspace.
• 📊 Clearer task progress (October 2026) - The status bar names the work in progress: Metadata Write, Scan for Changes, Full Scan, Quality Scan, or Other, with a count that stays in step with the current pass.
• 🔁 Scans that finish after a restart (October 2026) - An interrupted scan or folder Force Rescan is picked up again after you restart Tag That Photo, including photos in subfolders. Skipped files still advance the progress bar.
• ✍️ Smarter metadata writes (October 2026) - Lasting write failures are recorded and not retried until the photo changes. Locked files stay queued. Missing files are parked and resume if they come back. Keywords that contain a comma stay one keyword.

• 💾 Weekly catalog backup (September 2026) - Automatically copy the Tag That Photo database to a folder you choose (including OneDrive). Photo files stay put; weekly .bak files restore the same way as Backup Database, and the newest eight weekly copies are kept.
• 📄 Search photo reports & slideshows (September 2026) - Turn Search results into a printable HTML report or a self-contained fullscreen slideshow — selected photos or the full set — to view, print, save as PDF, or share without sending the whole library.

• 📂 Open with from Explorer (July 2026) - Open images in the Photo Viewer via Windows Open with → Tag That Photo. The old Explorer TTP right-click shell menu is gone, so installs/upgrades no longer need to recycle Explorer or reboot.
• 📤 Export from People Photos (July 2026) - Export selected or all photos from a person’s Photos gallery using the same export flow as Search.
• 🔎 Search Wildcard & Pager Polish (July 2026) - Keyword wildcards commit as typed; keyword/metadata/location wildcards require at least three characters besides *; nested folder search and localized pager text are more reliable.
