Grinding Fixtures

Rounding Over Fixture

Here's a simple little fixture to make rounding rod ends easier:

V-grooves are made by supporting the block on a 45 degree angle block in the vise. I cut two sizes for large and smaller pins...

Drilled and tapped for 1/4-20, then I use transfer screws to get the hole locations for the clamping piece...

In operation with a piece of bar stock on the pin. I'm just using precision dowel pins that you can buy in various sizes from the usual sources. I think I got this 1/4" pin from Enco...

It makes for a quick and easy but very nice end!
