Representative tanker concepts
Silhouettes of the five tanker concepts in three groups: off-the-shelf derivatives (KC-46A, A330 MRTT+), a new design with limited signature reduction (Medium-sized BWB), and new reduced-signature designs (Medium-sized Reduced Signature, Collaborative Tanker Aircraft). The reduced-signature designs are modeled as completely unmanned; other designs could adopt varying levels of automation and autonomy, including being optionally unmanned.
