Each dot is an airfield, shaded by the probability it can still sustain tanker operations on that day. Once suppressed, an airfield does not recover within the one-week simulation period.
The figure depicts the mean result of 5,000 simulations of PLA attacks against airfields and accounts for estimated PLA threats, friendly defenses, and airfield characteristics. It provides a conditional risk estimate of the operational status of airfields, rather than a prediction of the individual status of an airfield.
