Went there with our couple friend on a weekend. Place is packed with family and other couples as well. We were lucky enough to have been seated immediately since a group left or else we will have to wait. There is also live acoustic and Not to loud that you can still hear and talk to each other and not shouting.
Location is not in the town center, it's in an exclusive subdivision but you'll see it as soon as you enter the gate, so better have a car, hire a tuktuk or pedicab. It really is in the backyard of the owner's house as the name implies. They serve Ameican style of food and the serving is huge Backyard Grill Lucban 60 some even good for sharing.
Tried the ribs good for sharing, it's so soft you can eat it without using the knife best to discribe it as Sarap to the Bones most Filipino prefer food baked, oven or grilled well done rather than medium rare or rare.
Java rice is cooked nicely not overcooked and sticky like some other Java rice I've tasted. Wings is also good for sharing. Tried the blue cheese pasta since it was recommended by the server, but if you are not a blue cheese lover I will not recommend it.
Better try the shrimp pasta or carbonara which our friend had. It's not a place where you can go to every weekend since they are a bit pricey compared to other dining places in Lucban, but if there is a special occasion like birthdays or anything that you would love to celebrate, this is a nice place to go for a change. Billiards table was already removed, maybe to accommodate more dining seats.
The ambiance of the restaurant is super nice. We went on a weekday so there were only us and another group. So we really get to enjoy our own space.
The overall dining experience is good. Live music every weekend. The Mother of owner is so accommodating and she's our neighbor back in the day she gave us some dessert , some "extras " and a more reasonable discount. Menus and food presentation is world Taste is good , a bit salty I suppose. This restaurant is in the outskirts of the town of Lucban so it's better to hire a "Tuk-tuk" or a tricycle in advance to drop you off and pick you up. Went here twice and will recommend this to our friends and colleagues.
