Decorative Stitching Around a Couching Patterns

Saving the Outline of the Couching Pattern

1. Touch [Embroidery] in the home page screen and edit the couching patterns. (Embroidering Couching Patterns)

2. Touch and save the combined couching pattern on the machine’s memory for later use.

   Couching pattern can not be combined with the patterns in other categories but can be combined with couching pattern.

   

3. Touch to select all patterns and then touch .

4. Specify the setting and touch to save the outline of pattern.

   In this example, increase the distance between the pattern and the outline to make the outline as an individual shape.

   
   • The pattern outline is saved as a stamp shape in IQ Designer.

5. Touch and then [OK] to cancel the current pattern selection.

Embroidering the Decorative Patterns

1. Touch [IQ Designer] in the home page screen.

2. Touch then select the saved outline in step 4 of Saving the Outline of the Couching Pattern.

   

3. Touch and select the square shape. And then touch to change the size.

   

4. Touch and select the stitch type and color.

   

5. Touch and touch the square.

   

6. Touch and select the pattern and color of the decorative fill pattern.

   

7. Touch , and then touch the area you want to add the decorative fill pattern.

   

8. Touch [Next].

9. Specify the stitch settings, and then touch [Set].

10. Touch [Embroidery] and then embroider the pattern.

    
    • Decorative stitching is embroidered.
      

11. Touch and then [OK] to cancel the current pattern selection.

Embroidering the Couching Patterns

1. Touch [Embroidery] in the home page screen and touch .

2. Retrieve the saved couching patten in step 2 of Saving the Outline of the Couching Pattern.

   

3. Align the embroidering position with the decorative patterns embroidered in Embroidering the Decorative Patterns.

   
   1. Touch to display the fabric on the screen. (Display the Fabric on the Screen)
   2. Touch to project the pattern onto the fabric. (Checking the Embroidery Pattern with the Projector)

4. Prepare the machine for couching. Attach embroidery couching foot “Y”, thread it with yarn, and then thread the machine with the upper thread.
   Embroider the couching pattern.
