Dilemma with designer I hope you didn't break a nail princess, Yawn. My 69 year old wife hauled 80 pound sacks of mortar and helped on a chimney rebuild, AND hauled 2 tons of large trap rock for landscaping just last fall because she wanted to.
She's a full time banker not a construction worker but also designed, managed contractors including me and did all the interior painting on a flip this winter and sold it, but to her it's just another day in her life.
Now if you mixed the mortar, hauled and set cement blocks for a building foundation, like my Landscaping Brick Home Depot 100 wife helped me do one summer I may have given you an Attagirl but keep it up, someday you might be in same league as my wife. Kudos to you DesignSell95 for getting it done! I love a designer or any profession for that matter that sees herself as part of a team and not above it all. Love it! For now, I'm just a couple years into my career, and for me at 25, it felt great to be involved in the dirty work.

If you plan to keep the wall color, you could add a pop of color with the drapery panels and then bring that color around the room in art and accessories. You could also swap out the chairs with upholstered chairs to lighten up the space. Even if you just did 2 captains chairs. I have included some photos for inspiration.
