Matt the project manager, was pretty much on sight daily to ensure no surprises, and had outstanding and fluid communication with design team, senior project manager that was involved when Matt was on honeymoon, and me.
I felt I could communicate openly with Matt and be honest. The concrete company led by the owner, Scott, was like an artist. Everything was done so meticulously, and I gained a much deeper appreciation for the work required. When faced with drainage issues due to roots, the incremental costs were reasonable for the costs and work incurred. This was a major renovation of or backyard, with a lot of complexity and Matt and others were very creative in their solutions.

November 15, We recently met with Joseph and Tony regarding changing the landscape of our front yard. Prior to the meeting, Joseph came to our house and gave us ideas we had never even imagined. Someone came and took photos of our house and took measurements.
When we got to their facility we were impressed with the number of different displays they had and choices of pavers, tile and water features. As we started to go over the design Tony showed us on a large screen a picture of our house with the new driveway, steps and planting. When we suggested any changes Tony immediately Implemented them on the screen. He changed colors of pavers and with Joseph's expertise changed plants and trees.
The visual display really lets you know how the finished product will look, using your own home. The software is amazing and the level of professionalism shown us by Joseph was instrumental in our decision.

After choosing to go with Western Outdoor, and having Craig be our design expert especially since he was trustworthy and had gave us great ideas to consider with our project , Craig came out to our house again to explain the process of the project.
We then meet with Craig in the office and viewed the design plans in 3D. This was an amazing aspect as it really helped us "see" how great the final project would be. We then meet Craig again one more time in the office and picked out the details i. Scheduling an appointment with Western was a breeze, the lady who answered the call was very professional - a great first impression. We contacted a few more companies to schedule appointments for quotes and were surprised that some of them didn't even return phone calls. Craig is very knowledgeable and easy to work with that's why we choose to work with him. He came to our house a couple of times - one for initial meeting and one for measurements.
We only vaguely told him what we like as we had no idea what we want. He took the very minimal information and nailed both the front and backyards designs within few hours. We thought that we would take the initial design as a starting point and then go back and forth a few times to revise the design, but we really like Craig initial design - it looks very balanced and well-thought.
Craig gave a very detailed estimate and there is no obligation to use them until you sign the contract and then they send you the design plan. We signed the contract that same day. So now, we just need to pick the materials.

They were both fountains of practical information, creative ideas, and advice. Vince quickly educated us about design possibilities, the pros and cons, and helped us think differently about solutions. We were pleased to discover that he had experience working on similar projects in our very neighborhood.
He understood the particulars related to permitting and fire codes, and was familiar with the process of submitting formal plans to our homeowners association. Very comforting! While Vince developed the initial landscape concept that we reviewed using amazing 3D visualization software , Michelle not only made sure we always understood were we were in the overall process, but she found ways to advocate for tweaks here and there in order to improve the design concepts we were evaluating.
Both Vince and Michelle, as a team, brought a great sense of design, art, and functionality to our project. For us, taking on this kind of a project has been pretty daunting.

Western design and pavers was great. We had a new home landscape project that was designed managed and built by a team of highly educated and effective employees. The team was able to understand our requirements and implement them within budget. The material quality is too of the line and the end result shows. I would hire again. Our Project Manager, Matt, was very accommodating, and he was with us for every step of the way. We hit a few bumps along the way, but Matt listened to our concerns and delivered to our expectation. Our project included turf, pavers, retaining walls, plants, and a swimming pool. Since there were a lot of moving parts, it was a little overwhelming at times, but Matt and the workers kept it smooth and moving in the right direction. The quality of work, the willingness to address our concerns, and their ability to deliver a beautiful final product definitely supports the fact that we made the right decision to go with Western Outdoors.
We would certainly use Western Outdoors for all of our future projects!
